About

    Buyer-side fieldwork, documented in writing

Aura is a Scandinavian-founded, Quanzhou-based buyer-side service. Our work has primarily supported Scandinavian brands. We also work with international brands and importers that need direct factory-side evidence from the Quanzhou manufacturing cluster.

    The method

Aura exists for one reason: small brands should not have to hire a large global testing, inspection and certification firm for every order, and they should not have to take a factory's word for what is happening on the factory floor. Aura goes to the factory, documents what can be observed, and reports it in writing — observed facts separated from supplier claims, gaps stated as gaps.

You communicate with the person responsible for scoping and reporting the work. If a qualified local inspector or specialist is used, the delivery path is stated before booking.

Aura is fee-only and buyer-aligned: no factory commissions, referral payments, rebates or gifts tied to selection. Factories do not pay to be inspected or recommended.

    The Aura Standard — a 4-point check

The Aura Standard is Aura's internal four-part reporting framework — the structure every verification report and inspection findings report follows. It is not a regulatory standard, certification or accreditation.

    Material observations

Declared material, GSM where properly measured, colour and visible consistency.

    Construction

Seams, reinforcement, workmanship, measurements and defect classification.

    Packaging

Labels, barcodes, folding, assortment, cartons and shipping marks.

    Documentation and testing status

Certificates supplied, issuer and status checks, test reports present or missing, and items requiring laboratory or legal review. Aura records evidence and gaps — it does not certify compliance.

    Limitations

These limits are deliberate. They keep the work honest:

    • Aura does not certify REACH, GPSR, OEKO-TEX or other regulatory compliance. Reports record documentation and testing status — what evidence the supplier provided, and what is missing.
    • Aura does not guarantee supplier legitimacy or future performance.
    • Aura does not perform social-compliance or management-system audits.
    • Aura is not a factory, trading company, freight forwarder, laboratory or certification body.
    • Aura works in apparel and textiles, footwear, and simple fashion and textile accessories — not electronics, toys, PPE, medical goods, machinery or other hardlines.
